๐ Ford Mondeo Mk3 2.0 Tdci Engine
The Ford Mondeo hit our roads in 1993, and has consistently been a sales success. 2.0 Duratorq TDCi 130hp/96kw. Engine codes FMBA, N7BA 2,0 bar @ 2000 rpm;
The F-super should be fine. It works on my late 03 and late 06 Mondeo Tdci. There is a more expensive option discussed extensively in this forum, but the f-super has done everything I needed including recoding the injectors. Knowing the FRP is a vital diagnostic for an engine that does not run and the f-super will give you that.

When I first bought the Mondeo about 12 months ago, I put it in for a service at Frauds and they notified me of a small oil leak from the inlet manifold gaskets. I replaced the gaskets and to be honest I didnt keep too much of an eye on it. Anyway, had an oil change a few weeks ago and cleaned off
It was by/underneath the engine. According to Ford these wires tend to hit against the engine causing them to either break or corrode. 05 Mk3 2.0 TDCI 130 Auto

Also remove the inlet manifold and clean that also (the also get manky). Your running problems may also be EGR related, the valve may be stuck open. 1992 Mercedes 190E 2.0 Petrol Auto. 2010 Mazda 3 MPS 2.3 Turbo Petrol 260PS. 2006 Mondeo Zetec 2.0 TDCi 130 - Remapped to 165bhp. Save.
Good luck and some smoke under hard acceleration is normal anyway even for the most efficient running tdci's - but getting the power back is the main thing 2002 Ford Mondeo Mk3 Ghia X 130 TDCI ( Ink Blue ) ** Without NOS =166.4bhp at 4141rpm and 238.3lbf/ft at 3018rpm /// With NOS =181.1bhp at 3607rpm and 294.6lbf/ft at 2929rpm **
I have a similar intermittent fault on my mondeo 2.0 tdci 2005. When the engine is cold the car runs fine, but once it warms up and I restart the car, the glow-plug-warning-light flashes, and the actuator arm stops functioning (ie it doesnt move) and the engine goes into limp mode.
MK5 Mondeo 180 2.0l TDCI Hi All, Thought I had found the collant loss i'd been having. I replaced the pipe that comes from the thermostat housing to the expansion bottle. It had been leaking at the thermostat housing.

The other thing worth mentioning is a solid blanking plate will "fix" a faulty or leaking EGR valve - the EGR becomes effectively "disabled" / non functional, - + it can't fail/ break again (makes the car/ engine more reliable) (its a mk3 Mondeo with a duratorque (Ford) 2.2 155ps? not a Mk 4 with a PSA engine)
